Statement of Faith

We believe...

that there is one God who exists eternally in the person of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God who died for our sins and arose from the dead.
that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path.
that every person has value as a creation of God but that “all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.”
that forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available by God’s grace to those who trust and are faithful to Christ as Savior and Lord.
that those who accept Christ should repent of sin, confess their faith in Christ, and be baptized.
that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to empower the believer with the spiritual gifts for witness and service and godliness in his or her own life.
that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
that Jesus Christ will one day return and reign forever as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Our Vision:

To encourage, enlighten, and empower home school parents, fostering:

Deeper unity and interdependence between members; breaking down the home school “islands” that we find ourselves in.
A social and educational, life-giving group, where our children are exposed to and required to interact with other children and adults.

All to the glory and honor of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Membership

Membership to Lake Travis H.I.S. Group is open to any homeschool family who has read and agrees to our vision and Statement of Faith. All members are expected to participate with activities and programs, serve one another and encourage new home schoolers in love. All who participate in Seekers activities should represent Christ in all they say and do.

Our co-op program meets weekly from 9:00 am - 12:30 pm at The Lakeway Church. Members are expected to teach and/or assist a class for two of the three hours. Class offerings vary by term. The co-op has a limited number of openings.
