CHEACT Purpose
The purpose of the Association is two-fold. First, to provide a Christian support group for parents and others involved and/or interested in teaching their children and to encourage the high standard of excellence throughout all the membership. Second, to further the appreciation of home schooling in the community through education and media communication.

Home School Legal Defense Association
HSLDA is a nonprofit advocacy organization established to defend and advance the constitutional right of parents to direct the education of their children and to protect family freedoms. Through annual memberships, HSLDA is tens of thousands of families united in service together, providing a strong voice when and where needed.
Texas Home School Coalition

The Texas Home School Coalition Association
- serves and protects Texas home school families by helping its members if they have problems with government officials related to their right to teach their children at home - including written or verbal intervention and, when necessary, legal assistance.
- communicates with school districts in the state to correct erroneous information and help officials come to a clear understanding of the law as it pertains to home education.
- believes that government restriction of home education cannot be justified and for that reason monitors the Texas legislature and other government agencies that have the power to adopt policies that would negatively impact Texas home school freedoms.
- opposes any government regulation of home education and is committed to protecting the right of Texas parents to teach their children at home.
- maintains ongoing relationships with Texas elected officials and other pro-family organizations to promote home school freedoms.
- issues regular updates via e-mail and newsletters to inform the home school community and encourage support for pro-home schooling policies and legislation.
